Entry Requirements
National Team
Each participating country may enter a national team of up to 25 dogs into the World Championship. The national team must consist of at least 3 dogs. Members of countries with less than 3 dogs may enter as individual competitors. The dogs of the national team are selected based on each country's ranking lists, for more details please check with your head of federation. National team members also participate in the competition between countries.
Individual Competitors
If a country reaches the limit of 25 dogs for the national team, further participants may enter the World Championship as individual competitors if they have at least 1 ranking point. Individual competitors do not participate in the competition between countries.
Puppy Category
Any dog born after 12 February 2024 may enter the Puppy category. Puppies will have 60-second performances with different scoring.
Veteran and Old-timer
Any dog born before 13 September 2017 may enter the Veteran category and any dog born before 13 September 2014 may enter the Old-timer category. Rules for the Veteran category are the same as the official categories. In the jumping discipline for the Old-timer category any jump with at least two paws off the ground scores 2 points.
Heavyweight Category
Dogs that, due to their breed, body structure, or other physical traits, are not capable of high speeds or the agility required to compete with dogs in other categories. If your dog does not have IDPF approval for this category yet, you will be required to submit videos of your running and jumping performances along with your registration.
